Good morning, Prep School family,
Can you believe it is Thursday already? Where has this week gone? I hope you are all well. I am very well and have had a great time in school this week – seeing all the wonderful staff, children and parents and doing lots and lots of exciting planning. . .
I had such a great response from you all last time I shared only a picture in the Bulletin that I thought I would keep today very short and share another picture with you today. Why do you think I have picked this picture to share?
Days of the year theme: Toast Day (one of my favourite things to eat – it reminds me of my grandad), Chilli Day (Mr Bennett’s all-time favourite food and randomly what we are having for dinner tonight), Chocolate-Covered Peanut Day (Yummy, but not in school!), Clam Chowder Day (The jury is out on this one. . .) and finally Digital Learning Day (One that we are all embracing today, thanks Covid!)
Quote of the Day: “Success is not final. Failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill
Friendly February calendar task (this month’s activities are based on friendship):
* Thank three people you feel grateful too and tell them why
TOP’s weekly activity: Can you do some yoga daily? Try Cosmic Kids yoga or Yoga for Kids with Adriene.
Life skill of the day: Learn to clean a mirror, without leaving smears!
Joke of the day:
Why did the student eat his homework?
Because the teacher told him it was a piece of cake!
Fact of the Day: Some fish cough!
Sleeps til Santa: 302 days
Three things I’m looking forward to today (thanks to Mrs Hinch for the inspiration): Can you try this each day? Remember, it focuses your mind on the positive and reminds us to show gratitude for things, no matter how small!
Today I am looking forward to: a yummy breakfast, using my new pens (not even joking) and clean towels throughout the house.
Have a super Thursday,
Take care of each other,
Mrs Bennett
