Yr4 SPARKS Visit

Posted: 14th January 2020

Year 4P were joined by firefighters from Green Watch at Sutton Coldfield Fire Station to talk about fire safety. The children became fire experts, learned the correct place to fix smoke alarms, how to plan an escape route and how to evacuate safely.

The firefighters explained how to make emergency calls and the problems caused by hoax calls. The children identified fire hazards at home and learned the importance of being safe on the road. Finally, they learned the effective technique of ‘stop, drop and roll’.

An informative and interesting morning for the children.
