Prep School Instrumental Music Demonstration

Posted: 9th October 2019

At the start of term Highclare Preparatory School pupils had the opportunity to meet the extremely talented visiting music teachers, that deliver weekly instrumental lessons.

Each visiting music teacher took to the stage to show our pupils the instrument they play, what it looks like and how it sounds. We heard a vast amount of different styles of music, from classical, to pop, and western Cowboy music to Spanish flamenco to name a few. Our fantastic Violin teacher, Miss Minchin taught everyone how to play air violin and we performed a piece together. This was a wonderful morning of introducing our pupils into the world of instrumental music and we hope that it has inspired them to learn an instrument at school. If you would like further information or would like your child to learn an instrument or receive singing lessons, please contact s.broder@highclareschool.co.uk.
