Sixth Form Open Evening

The School open-event season is now very much in full swing and we would like to warmly invite you to our upcoming open evening at Highclare Sixth Form.

Like the rest of Highclare School, our Sixth Form continues the ethos of nurturing individual talents, facilitated by small classes, which afford teachers the privilege of close monitoring, ensuring that each student achieves their highest academic potential.

Highclare Sixth Form offers an extensive choice of A level subjects and the Extended Project Qualification, which allows students to develop a wide range of study skills whilst conducting an individual, academic research project. Our policy of flexibility means each student’s needs and requirements are catered for, with the timetable structured to offer the subject options of each student as far as possible.

We deliver high quality teaching enabling students to gain the necessary qualifications to facilitate progression to Higher Education, currently celebrating a 100% overall pass rate at A level in 2019, with over 50% of grades achieved being A* to B.

With its own suite of rooms within Highclare Senior School, iPads provided for all students and the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities, Highclare Sixth Form students leave with the skills needed to flourish at university, in the workplace, and in everyday life.

Our open evening takes place at Highclare Senior School on Thursday 10 October 7.00pm to 9.00pm.  For your convenience, when navigating, please use postcode B23 6UB, as this will direct you to our onsite parking.  There is a one-way system for vehicles which can only be accessed from Station Road.  Upon arrival, please follow directions to school reception.

The upcoming open evening is an ideal opportunity to ask questions, talk to sixth form tutors, subject teachers and current students with a presentation by Mr Parkinson, Head of Sixth Form at 7.45pm.

It is not necessary to book an appointment for this event, but if you wish to register your interest or speak to admissions prior to the event please contact Lisa Madden on 0121 386 8218.
