Business Network Event October 2019

Posted: 25th September 2019

We extend a very warm invitation to you to attend the next Highclare business network event which will be held on Tuesday 15 October 2019 at 7.30 pm at Highclare Senior School.

We are delighted to welcome to Highclare Mrs Julia Willoughby, FCIPR, as our guest speaker.  A communications specialist, Julia is founder of WPR, one of the country’s leading communications agencies, and has had a career-long enthusiasm for helping businesses and organisations achieve their ambitions.

Julia now still has an involvement in WPR but has stepped back from the front line in order to pursue other interests. Throughout her career she has advised on some of the most challenging projects, some requiring high level crisis communications and many that were pure fun. She has earned a reputation in Birmingham for developing an agency that today has over 50 employees working on high profile campaigns that cut across social media, traditional media and wider communication channels.

It is a particular pleasure to welcome Julia to Highclare School because WPR is the School’s communications partner and are working closely with us on a number of projects.  Her two sons, now grown up, also attended Highclare School.

Paul Faulkner, Chief Executive of Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce, will be leading the informal discussion via a question / answer session involving audience participation. We are grateful to him for giving of his time so generously.  Wilson Vale Catering, our school catering partner, have very generously agreed to support the event by providing complimentary cuisine.

We will also be welcoming a representative from the Trussell Trust Foodbank, who are one of our school charities, to talk to us about their work. The event is, once again, available free of charge to parents of pupils at Highclare School but we will be asking all guests on the night for a voluntary contribution to the Trussell Trust.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to this exciting event.
