Prep School Pupils Learn About Banking

Posted: 27th June 2019

During ‘Money Week’ at Highclare Preparatory School, KS2 pupils enjoyed an informative visit from Santander.

Children learnt about the different ways to pay, how to keep money safe and most importantly, how to save our money.

Children explored the tricky subject of budgeting and learnt about the advantages and disadvantages to online banking. We also learnt which numbers and words can make good pins and passwords, and why.

Children also explored vocabulary such as, withdrawal, balance, deposit, interest and cheque. Overall, the day was a huge success and the children thoroughly enjoyed learning about money, a big thank you to Santander for coming in and working with our KS2.
