PE staff surprise feature in the Sutton Coldfield Observer

Posted: 5th October 2017

Highclare Senior School have recently received  a surprise feature in the Sutton Coldfield Observer newspaper, where an independent contributor praised the conduct of our PE staff.

Whilst writing a piece on the new Erdington Leisure Centre facilities, John Woodcock, a member of the public enjoying the new pool, was extremely complimentary of the teaching staff who were bringing the Highclare pupils to the pool for their weekly swim.

John woodcock writes

“Whilst writing I would like to record my complimentary remarks in praise of the teaching staff who have been bringing their pupils from Highclare school to the former swimming pool for many years.  I have observed closely the same stable team of three teachers and it has been a joy to see.  Discipline and application are obtained in a clear, positive, pleasant and supportive style.  All three teachers, relatively, young are simply excellent and a credit to their profession and the school that they represent.”

During the pupils time at Highclare Senior School swimming is encouraged and is an important part of the extensive sports fixture programme for both boys and girls.   Highclare school is committed to the highest standards of teaching and it is always a joy when a member of the public confirms the excellent standard of our teaching staff.
