Safer Internet Week

Posted: 3rd March 2017

Junior pupils were introduced to ‘Safer Internet Week’ through thought-provoking assemblies about online images and videos.

In lessons, children explored the issues surrounding how photos are shared online and learned that they can potentially stay there forever, reaching a wider audience than they were intended for. They thought about how photos create an impression of their character and used this to help them decide if an image is okay to share online or not.

The children designed informative posters sharing some important e-safety tips and met Hector the dolphin for the first time; an animated dolphin who helps them if they encounter any problems online at school.
