J5 Science Investigation

Posted: 28th January 2013

As part of Science we looked at plants and the passage water takes after it is drawn through the plants veins.
We set up an experiment with food colouring, test tubes and white carnations. One stem was split lengthways, one part put in clear water, the other in coloured water.

The results were both fascinating and beautiful. We could clearly see the plant veins and grasped a good understanding of how plants ‘drink water’.
