A New Common Room for the Sixth Form

Posted: 23rd January 2015

Highclare Sixth Formers are celebrating the opening of their newly refurbished Common Room.   A great space in which to relax and socialise.   The addition of a dishwasher, wide screen TV and wifi is great news for all.   Thanks to our super Maintenance Team for all their hard work.  Visitors welcome on our Open Morning on 7th March.

“Last week the sixth form were introduced to their newly refurbished common room. It has undergone a complete transformation over the Christmas holidays and has been turned into a space that exceeds university accommodation! The new common room now contains a coffee shop style kitchen complete with Barista coffee machine, which we are are all attempting to operate!, bar stools and even a dishwasher which has finally put an end to the mountain of dishes in the sink. In the common room we also have relaxing corner sofas meaning that we are all talking to each other a lot more than the previous separate sections for upper and lower sixth, this is all completed with a high definition television and constant wifi for us all to make use of our iPads. As a sixth form we are extremely grateful for our new common room and are enjoying spending as much time as possible in there!”                                                                                                           Sophie-Jayne Bridgens – Head Prefect
