Y3 School trip to Shropshire Woodland

Posted: 5th October 2022

Year 3 had a great day last week. They were in a Shropshire woodland learning about life in the Stone Age. The children visited as 8 acre base camp which is hidden away inside a stunning mixed broadleaf and cedar 80 acre woodland surrounding a stunning fishing lake. The staff and students dressed like people in the different time periods and examined tools and weapons they made. By the end of the day Y3 were able to decide if their lives are different to those in the Stone Age. The children learnt how to build shelters and tested how dry they were before ending the day making fat burners out of clay – a Stone Age candle!  Everyone had a fabulous day.
