Highclare visit the BIG Bang STEM Fair

Posted: 26th June 2013

The U3s had an enjoyable educational trip to the BIG Bang STEM Fair Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
The first ‘edutainer’ was called Matt Prichard and whilst he didn’t give away any Magic Circle trade secrets he did share with the pupils how to alter the centre of mass of an object, turn water into a solid without freezing it and how to learn 15 objects in 1 minute.

The next phase of the day presented the pupils with the chance to network with their peers by visiting the stands of schools that were showcasing their particular project.   The pupils welcomed the freetime and were encouraged to apply their social skills to learn about the diverse opportunties that STEM subjects offer.
