Posted: 25th August 2022

Year 11 students receive well-earned GCSE results today.

The School continues to build on an already impressive exam result reputation with a 97% overall pass rate (pupils achieving grades 9 – 4) and 40% in the 9 – 7 range. Among the Highclare students celebrating this morning are Julian Hau, with 10 grade 9s and 1 grade 8, Haydn Sargeant, with 6 grade 9s, 3 grade 8s and 1 grade 7, Arranveer Sandhu, with 6 grade 9s, 2 grade 8s and 1 grade 7 and Ibraheem Hussein, with 7 grade 8s, 2 grade 7s and 1 grade 6.

Dr Richard Luker, Headmaster, comments, “We are immensely proud of our GCSE students who have proven that attributes such as resilience, aspiration, empathy, hard work, dedication to academic excellence and the education of the whole person, skills all nurtured during their time at Highclare School, have been crucial to achieving success during this incomparable time”.

The results attained by this year’s GCSE cohort are the culmination of students and teachers displaying an unwavering dedication to the pursuit of success.  Through small class sizes and committed teachers, each student is known and valued and grades have been determined in a robust and fair process by teachers who know each child very well.

Having completed their GCSE examinations, students will look to continue their educational journey, with many taking advantage of the wide range of courses available, academic scholarship and the tutor-led approach to studying at Highclare Sixth Form.
