Pilgrimage to Lichfield

Posted: 29th June 2022

The Summer term often brings plenty of opportunities for our students to break free from the shackles of the classroom and explore the world in which we live. Our extracurricular and afterschool groups often see our pupils taken across the West Midlands. However sometimes our teachers get the opportunity to combine excursions and trips with the curriculum the students are learning to provide them with real life, first-hand experiences to back up what they are learning in the class room.

For example, this week our Upper 3rds were taken to Lichfield to learn about pilgrimage and Christianity in Lichfield Cathedral as well as completing some superb geography fieldwork in the town centre. Giving our students these kinds of learning opportunities is key in forming a well rounded young adult.
