U4 Reflect at Coventry Cathedral

Posted: 17th May 2022

On Tuesday 10 May 2022 the Religious Studies Department took U4 out for a day fieldtrip to Coventry Cathedral.

The morning was spent with a guided tour of the different features of the Cathedral and learning about its history including learning about the bombing of the original Cathedral in WW2 and a tour of the ruins. As part of our morning tour we saw some beautiful peace cranes made from origami and in the afternoon we tried our hand at making some, not as easy as it looked.

We also spent time in a workshop reflecting about reconciliation and peace, what it means and how disagreements can end up in discrimination and conflict. The students were a credit to the school and made some insightful comments during the workshop.
