As part of the Geography curriculum U4 enjoyed the first ever field trip to Cannock Chase, an area designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The trip began with a guided tour from the Learning Ranger at Forestry England and an explanation of sustainable management strategies of Cannock Chase, followed by various geographical investigations such as environmental quality surveys, field sketches, forest user survey and measuring carbon content of the trees. It was a lovely sunny day enjoyed by all.
