Robin And The Sherwood Hoodies Take Over Highclare

Posted: 3rd March 2022

What a performance by the Highclare Prep band of merry men and women during the outstanding KS2 productions last half term.

Parents were taken on a journey through the medieval mayhem of Merry England and into the depths of Sherwood Forest to discover the hilarious truth behind the legend of Robin Hood in this great musical comedy!  The comedic timing and expression of the children during the performance was incredible!

When the evil Sheriff of Nottingham and his gormless guards threaten the villagers of Sherwood, feisty Maid Marion hired a band of freedom fighters for protection. But when Robin and his Merry Men arrive, she soon discovers they’re not exactly what she’d ordered!

The shows were full to the brim with catchy, show-stopping songs and a wonderfully witty script as sharp as an arrow, performed beautifully by pupils at Highclare Preparatory School: Woodfield.

Thank you to all parents and families who’s help and support particularly with learning lines and costumes is invaluable when putting on a production of this scale.
