BigBrum Romeo and Juliet Theatre Performance

Posted: 16th December 2021

BigBrum theatre company visited school this week to further enhance the learning of our GCSE students studying Sheakepeares’ text.

BigBrum performed a new adaptation of ‘Romeo & Juliet’ as part of the ‘Monuments Trilogy’ programme of work. Their version is faithful to the text of Shakespeare’s tragedy, but played to themes relevant to young people today, such as isolation, repression and civil dissonance.

The enactment was extremely engaging for all of our students, bringing the text to life and created many talking points.
