With over 300 entries from local schools Dr Luker and the Highclare Senior School English Department were thrilled with the response to this years Highclare School Junior Creative Writing Competition. The theme of ‘A poem to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Queen’s reign.’ has certainly sparked the imagination of pupils and the quality of poems received has, once again, been of an extremely high standard.
