Mrs Bennett’s Bulletin, Tuesday 7 December 2021

Posted: 7th December 2021

Good morning, Prep School family,

I hope you are all well and have had a fun and festive weekend. I had a wonderful weekend in London celebrating Mr Bennett’s birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the Christmas lights and doing a bit of shopping and eating on the side. We were lucky enough to go and see Phantom of the Opera on Saturday night. For those of you that have been reading these Bulletin’s for a while, you will know it is my favourite musical. I was spellbound from beginning to end and it was the best stage production that I have seen in a very long time. The cast were spectacular and the singing was spine-tingling. Overall, it was an amazing experience.

I thought I would keep this Bulletin simple this week. I know we are all so busy with the build up to Christmas – with the shopping, wrapping, nativities, carol singing, socialising with friends, expectations on ourselves that this time of year has to be perfect. I know that my Bulletin won’t change these things but I just wanted to remind you that at this time of year it is ok not to be ok, perfect doesn’t exist so just enjoy whatever happens if your plans do not go as you thought and it is ok to take some time for yourself and show yourself some kindness. I have attached a picture for you that reminds me of this when I’m in need of reminding!
