Mrs Bennett’s Bulletin, Wednesday 10 February 2021

Posted: 10th February 2021

Good morning, Prep School family,

Its Wednesday! Only two more get ups until half term and 3 more days of school before the weekend!

Today, I am keeping the Bulletin very short and simple. Sometimes less is more. I have attached some pictures and words for you to think about today as part of our Well-Being Week – I hope you are enjoying these.

I would just like to say how proud I am of you all. I haven’t said it recently but I really, really am! Your positivity, resilience, determination and attitude to remote learning and lockdown astound me each day. I am so proud of the work you are producing and all of the other activities you are taking part in. You are, 100% without any doubt at all, the best children any head teacher could have in their school and I am so very lucky that you are in mine! Thank you for making my job an absolute joy. I miss you all each and every day and cannot wait for us to be together again.

#HighclarePrepSchool #WellBeingWeek2021

Days of the year theme: Umbrella Day, Plimsoll Day and Cream Cheese Brownie Day.

Quote of the Day: “Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier” – Mother Teresa

Friendly February calendar task (this month’s activities are based on friendship)

*Look for the good in people, even when they frustrate you.

TOP’s weekly activity: As it is Highclare ‘Well-Being Week’ – do something today for 30 minutes that makes you feel happy – it can be anything. . . please send me lots of photos!

Life skill of the day: Weed a part of your garden

Joke of the day:

What animal needs to wear a wig?

A bald eagle!

Fact of the Day:

Your fingernails grow faster when you are cold!

Sleeps til Santa: 317 days!

Three things I’m looking forward to today (thanks to Mrs Hinch for the inspiration): Can you try this each day? Remember, it focuses your mind on the positive and reminds us to show gratitude for things, no matter how small!

Today I am looking forward to: seeing my dad, lunch and dinner!

Enjoy your day and stay safe,

Love

Mrs Bennett
