Highclare School GCSE Results Day 2020

Posted: 20th August 2020

Highclare School GCSE students have received their results today.

Faced with so many challenges beyond their control, students deserve every success in their GCSE results as well as the opportunity to enjoy the excitement of beginning the next stage of their academic journey. All have shown their resilience in adversity, something Highclare School nurtures throughout a student’s time at Highclare School.

Dr R Luker, Headmaster comments, “Highclare School is a place that encourages resilience, aspiration, empathy, academic excellence and the education of the whole person, all attributes displayed by GCSE students during this incomparable time.

The results attained by this year’s GCSE cohort are the culmination of hard work and dedication to their studies during the length of the course.  Through small class sizes and a dedication to teaching, each student is known and valued and grades have been determined in a robust and fair process by teachers who know each child very well.

Throughout the results season our academic and pastoral staff have been on hand supporting the students through this unsettled time, we know that the futures of the GCSE class 2020 will be bright and we look forward to seeing all that they go on to achieve.”

Highclare School, continues to build on an already impressive exam result reputation with 99% achieving grade 9 to 4 and 37% achieving grade 9 to 7.

Having completed their GCSE examinations, students will look to continue their educational journey, with many taking advantage of the wide range of courses available, academic scholarship and the tutor-led approach to studying at Highclare Sixth Form.
