Congratulations to all those who took part in the Headmaster’s Golf Challenge 2019. Certainly the wettest Headmaster’s Golf Challenge to date took place on Monday evening hosted, once again, at Walmley Golf Club. Despite the terrible weather parents, pupils, friends and staff of Highclare School partook in a sociable and competitive evening of golf.
Playing in teams, the competitors enjoyed the course and irrespective of the wet weather a good evening was enjoyed by all. The Headmaster’s Golf Challenge is open to all and it was fantastic to see so many pupils take part this year particularly Harry Lawrence, a Highclare Preparatory School Pupil and Viren Sohi of U3, Highclare Senior School. Both pupils showed true Highclare determination and resilience!
It was a very close competition but team Jacklin were victorious with a level par. The team comprised of Harry Lawrence (captain), Stuart Lawrence, Ian Gibson and Richard Luker. Team Seve (Steve Hughes, Antony Price, and Viren Sohi) came in a close second, just 1 over par.
Thanks must go to Brad Hurst for his helpful organisation, our sponsors and all at Walmley Golf Club for their kind hospitality.
Thoughts are already turning to the next challenge, keep an eye out for details.
