Highclare Preparatory School: Woodfield Open Morning

Posted: 23rd September 2019

We look forward to welcoming prospective families to our upcoming Open Morning on Saturday, 12 October, 10.00am to 12.30pm at Highclare Preparatory School: Woodfield.

Our Open Mornings provide you with the opportunity to take a tour of the school and meet students and members of staff at both the Preparatory and Pre-Preparatory settings.

During the open morning Highclare pupils will be your guides, taking you on a personalised tour of the School and answering any questions you may have on school life. Your visit will conclude with a reception in the school hall where members of our teaching and admissions staff will be available to answer any questions you may have in a relaxed environment.

Looking for the best school for your child can be a daunting and complex process and at Highclare School we think the best way to learn more about our School community and it’s philosophy is to visit us, our pupils love showing visitors their school.

It is not necessary to book an appointment for this open morning, but if you wish to register your interest or speak to admissions prior to the event please contact  Lisa Madden on 0121 386 8218.

For your convenience, when navigating, please use postcode B72 1EA and make your way to the school reception at 241 Birmingham Rd.  Please note parking is limited on site, but can easily be found on surrounding residential roads

We look forward to welcoming you and your family.

GCSE Results

This year Highclare students have once again produced outstanding GCSE results.  Nearly one third of all grades were at the highest level of 7 and above and our overall pass rate was 92%, all of which are significantly above the national figures of 22% and 68% respectively.

Half of all grades were 6 and above and 98% of our full-time students achieved 5 of more GCSE passes. Having scored particularly excellent grades in Science and Maths, we are welcoming 4 students onto our Pre-Med scholarship program, designed to support students with medicine-related university applications.

Nearly 10% of our cohort have achieved 8 or more GCSEs at the top grades of 7 or above (or 35% achieved 7 or more GCSEs at the top grades of 6 or above).
