A Delicious Finale To The Duke Of Edinburgh Skills Section

Posted: 5th March 2019

Senior School teachers Mrs Smith and Mrs Bate were delighted to be invited to a Saturday showcase luncheon in support of Duke of Edinburgh award participant Issy Bessey.

Issy has been attending the Young Waiters Academy at UCB (University college Birmingham) as part of the skills section of her Duke of Edinburgh Award, as part of her completion participants prepare 2 luncheons, one for teachers and one for parents. It was an amazing experience, the food, service and ambience was of a very high quality and both teachers felt privileged to be asked. Issy was a credit to both her family and Highclare School.

Many thanks to Andrew Bisconti, food and beverage lecturer and course leader who was most welcoming.

Menu:

Canapés and mocktails – made and served by Issy

Main was chicken  and pasta in mushroom sauce served with glass of wine

Sticky toffee pudding

Floating coffee
