Dr Lloyd talks to Pre-School about caring for their pets

The children in Pre-School at Highclare St Paul’s, based in Lichfield Road, Sutton Coldfield were fascinated this week with a visit from their local veterinary  practitioner.  Dr Lloyd, together with his Head Nurse and Junior Nurse, visited Highclare Junior School to help everyone learn about taking care of their pets and in particular how they can prevent them getting fleas.  They brought some giant fleas for the children to see (which thankfully were not real !)

Everyone loved using the stethoscopes to listen to each other’s heartbeats and were shown the  brightly coloured bandages which they were able to use on themselves .  It really was an exciting visit.

Highclare Junior Schools are based on 2 sites within Sutton Coldfield and cater for children from 15 months to 11 years.
