L4 pupils from Highclare School were recently granted an exclusive interview with ‘Queen Elizabeth I’ at the royal castle of Tutbury. They were treated to a series of interesting facts and stories about her life and times and were able to handle artefacts from the Tudor period including a real execution sword! They were also able to learn about the history of the castle before being allowed to thoroughly explore the castle grounds themselves.
