Young Voices 20th Anniversary Concert

Posted: 15th January 2016

Children in J5 and J6 visited the Genting Arena in Birmingham this week to take part in the 20th Anniversary Concert for Young Voices.

6000 children formed the choir, 80 of these being from Highclare School. The children had been learning their songs since September and were all in fine voice! The afternoon started at 2pm with a rehearsal with the lead conductor, David Lawrence. At 6pm, the doors opened and the public were allowed in!  The performance started at 7pm and choir sang with a host of special guests until 9pm. The children felt very privileged to take part in this amazing experience and it was an evening that will not be forgotten for a very long time.
