Geographers in the L5 have been studying Development Aid as part of their GCSE studies. One of the charities that they have investigated is Farm Africa who work to provide sustainable small scale farming projects. Moved by the chance to make a difference, the students decided to bake cakes and sell them to raise money with the hope of providing a goat for a Tanzanian village. This goat would provide milk for nutrition and manure to help crops grow. Such is the ability of Highclare students to bake and to eat cake, however, that sufficient money was raised to purchase 3 goats and a chicken!
