Highclare Students Debate in the House of Commons

Posted: 15th December 2014

Five Highclare Senior School students were given a tour of the House of Commons and met with the speaker, John Bercow.  The students were chosen to represent the school as they have shown an interest in local political issues by attending the School Council, Debating Club and Inter-House Debating. They joined in a debate in the chamber with Jack Dromey, MP together with pupils from other Birmingham schools and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Mr Dromey commented on the excellent debating skills of the Highclare pupils.
