Highclare Junior Choir sing at Lichfield Festival of Music

Posted: 10th November 2014

On Saturday 8th November Highclare School Junior Choir, made up of boys and girls from J3 to J6 at Highclare Woodfield and Highclare St Paul’s,  performed in the Lichfield Festival of Music at St Joseph's R.C. Primary School.  They  gave a wonderful performance of their favourite French song ‘Vois Sur Ton Chemin’.

Andrea Calladine the adjudicator gave the following comments:                                       ‘Good presentation, lovely vocal tone – very well matched and good blending…excellent French well done!  Phrases are very well shaped and sustained. Good attention to the rhythmic detail and some good use of dynamic contrasts. This is a very well disciplined choir. I thoroughly enjoyed this performance.’                                                                             The choir was awarded a Commendation.                                                                              Whilst the adjudicator was writing her report they gave an impromptu performance of ‘Jaws Was Swimming In The Sea’ which went down very well with both the choir and the audience.

Well done to everyone.
