Highclare’s A Level History students visit the Tower of London

Posted: 7th November 2014

The U6 History group travelled to London to visit the Tower of London to view the display of ceramic poppies marking the centenary of the start of the First World War. They found the display both impressive and moving.  The History trip also included a visit to see the crown jewels as well a general tour of the Tower which helped to bring to life the people and places that they have been studying in  A Level History. The sixth formers ended the day on the banks of the River Thames, looking across at the Houses of Parliament and admiring the sights of the London skyline at dusk.
