Students at Highclare School are celebrating their excellent results and personal achievements having received their examination results today.
The overall pass rate achieved was 100 %, with 63% of passes at A* to B grades and 83% at A* to C.

This gave rise to a further celebration as they confirmed their entries to a variety of universities such as Nottingham, Birmingham, Oxford Brookes and York to study a range of subjects including English, Geography, Business Management, and Maths..

There was 95% pass rate for students taking 3 or more subjects and gaining A* to C grades.

Year 12 pupils have done equally as well with AS results giving a 90% pass rate, forming an excellent basis for next year.

Margaret Viles, Head, commented “We are proud of the excellent pass rate our students have attained, and the staff have been instrumental in helping each individual to achieve their highest possible goals.   Students need to believe in themselves that they can achieve their goals and these results are a testament to the encouragement and dedication given by the teaching staff to each individual pupil.

Many of our students have gained their first choice of University placement.    Some of our students only joined us for their Sixth Form education but we have seen them develop into mature young adults both academically and through an extensive programme of extra curricular activities, equipping them fully for life in today’s society.  This is what Highclare School does best, helping our students with individual attention and focusing on their strengths. We are very proud indeed of them all. “
