Circus Week in the Highclare TOPS Holiday Scheme

Posted: 3rd March 2014

During the spring half term, TOPS children at Highclare School had fun during their ‘Circus Week’.
They had a special visit from Pat the Clown and his Magic Circus.  He showed the children lots of clown tricks, special magic and even taught them some tricks that are used in the circus!
Clowns can be very silly but also very funny!
The children also made clown puppets, bow ties and circus hats. They decorated circus tent cupcakes, circus biscuits and clown face pizzas during the week.
There was also a Circus Party Day which consisted of circus games, piñata fun with prizes, fancy dress, face paint, and a special circus animal picnic which comprised of hot dogs, funky fries, dessert and even a special treat of chocolate milk with marshmallows.
Towards the end of our last party day, we had a ‘movie night’ and watched Madagascar 3, watching the zoo animals learn some circus tricks.
The children all agreed, TOPS IS GREAT FUN!
