Kindergarten at Highclare Woodfield went on a listening walk as an introduction in to their phonics sessions.
They listened to the different sounds in the environment; the birds singing, people talking, children playing, a whistle and the children even visited Mrs Jude in her office and heard the phone ringing.
This all helps to encourage listening skills and teach the children about the world around them.
