Highclare’s Creative Stitchers

Posted: 24th June 2013

The Junior pupils at Highclare St Paul’s were invited to take part in a Sutton Coldfield Creative Stitchers’ Competition. This involved a series of processes from the initial design stage, to the layering of their creative pieces, to the final pieces of work.  The pieces of art had to include different types of stitching by either hand or sewing machine. The theme of the competition was “Celebrations” which tied in with the 80th Birthday Celebrations.

The finished pieces of work will be entered into a Sutton Coldfield Exhibition and Competition with similar work from other local primary schools.

The final art work of the pupils was excellent and the following pupils should be very proud of themselves: Emily H, Piers R, Emily B, James G, Sienna W and Isobel W.
