J5 visit the Firestation

Posted: 13th May 2013

J5 were invited to Sutton Coldfield Fire Station to look around the station and see the equipment in the fire engines. They looked at all the hoses and water tanks, along with the specialised cutting gear that the fire engines need to carry.

The tour also involved a fire safety session, where the fire officers gave us advice about avoiding hazards, planning escape routes and locating smoke alarms.

Everyone had fun and learned a lot too!
