Survival Day

Posted: 5th October 2012

In September J5 and J6 from Highclare The Abbey and St Pauls, went to Cannock Chase for survival day’.

‘First we went den building. We collected long, thin logs and put them around a tree. Meanwhile a couple of members of the group were collecting bracken so no rain could get through. The next activity was Mat Racing. You had two mats and you had to get your team to the other side’, said Ben. ‘We went to another part of the forest where there was a hut. We sat on logs and the ranger told us what to do’.

The teachers and rangers agreed that it was a great, lively day, blessed by good weather, and an excellent way for the pupils from The Abbey and St Pauls to get to know and work with each other.
