A Trip to Shugborough

Posted: 10th April 2012

J1 and J2 P had an exciting and enjoyable trip to Shugborough Hall. We Dressed up as servants and cleaned the Victorian kitchen before making some delicious biscuits. Mrs Stearn the cook was very ‘stern’ and would not allow any talking or looking out of the window. The teacher in the Victorian Schoolroom was very strict. We wrote our names on a slate and had to write out some hard sums! In Victorian times the children had to pay one old penny to attend school. The day finished with a trip on a little train back to the coach. We are looking forward to completing some follow-up activities in school.
