The main purpose of our Parent / Teacher Association is to promote fundraising and social interaction across the school's three sites. For those parents new to the school, Highclare has an active PTA, which prides itself in the support it gives to the school. We have a committee that meets once a month to organise the various events and a number of parents who offer their help at the functions such as the Christmas Fayre. The PTA is also well supported by members of the staff who help in the running of the regular discos and functions that we hold.
During 2008 - 2009 academic year, and following a very successful campaign during our previous 75th Anniversary year, the PTA has aimed to raise money to help withr new video equipment and playground resources.
this has been achieved by holding many varied activities, including children's discos, dinners and dances, a family quiz night, school fayres and a theatre trip.
Details of the current PTA programme and booking forms are to found in the parents section of this web-site on the " messages and PTA" page. Should you require any details about the PTA or how you could become a Friend of the PTA and help at the major functions, please e mail Carolyn Gibson by clicking here.
The PTA runs a very successful second hand uniform shop. Lots of items arrive in excellent condition and represent a superb value for money purchase. Dates of forthcoming sales all at Highclare Woodfield, are:
If you have uniform to donate to the PTA for sale, please bring it into the school office.
A Royal Picnic
The highlight of the summer term was the Royal - themed picnic held at Highclare St Paul'sduring June. Admittedly the weather was very kind to us and we had a lot of fun baking cakes, tasting Pimms and entertaining the children with a bouncy slide and rides.
The Summer Ball
This year the summer ball was held at the Ryder Cup venue, The Belfry Hotel. Despite the credit crunch over 120 parents, staff, family and friends put on their finery to eat and dance the night away, entertained by Circle of Five, one of the Midlands' finest cover bands.
