Welcome to Highclare School

Latest school inspection report available here

On behalf of everyone at Highclare School, I extend a warm welcome to you to the school’s website.  I do hope you are quickly able to discover what is going on in our vibrant community, whether it be nursery, pre-school, infants, juniors, seniors or sixth form.  The website is wide-ranging, offering information on admissions, term dates, the curriculum and extra curriculum and much, much more.

Our pupils are our greatest advertisement.  Imbued by our purpose of ‘Achieving Individual Excellence’, they leave us as young men and women ready to take their place in and be of value to society.  They are prepared to uphold values that reflect not only an understanding of self-worth but also a willingness to advance a purpose greater than any one individual.  They work hard to be the best they can be in all aspects of school life, whilst managing to have a lot of fun along the way.  I could not provide a more telling testimonial than our most recent inspection report:  ‘The school is successful in meeting its aim to motivate pupils to achieve their all-round potential’ (ISI Inspection report, January 2015).

We pride ourselves on being a friendly community, always ready to extend a warm welcome to visitors and newcomers.  Do not hesitate to contact us to come along, and see the place for yourself, either at one of our formal open events or at any other convenient time.

Together with the staff and pupils, I look forward to welcoming you and answering your questions about Highclare School and about your child’s education.

Dr Richard Luker

Why not visit during one of the many Open Days or Taster Days

May we remind parents that school will remain open in bad weather and not to telephone school to check.
In the event of the need to close, school will inform you directly if there is a need to send pupils home early.
Parents are free to make their own choice about sending their son/daughter in to school.
