
The day is structured with an overall plan of activities to include many aspects of learning through play. The day starts with welcoming children to activities set out in the main rooms, followed by morning drinks/ fruit time, registration, talk about the week’s theme, songs and story time. Groups take turns with craft, roleplay, music and movement, paint, construction, games and many more fun actitivies.
Positive steps are taken to encourage good behaviour with merit stars.
All children who attend a full day have a rest after lunch. When the children are ready the staff help with their potty training.
Breakfast is given where children arrive early and all other drinks and meals are included in the fees. During the day regular drinks are given and during the morning children also have sliced fresh fruit.
Nursery staff, children and parents join with the many charitable and fund raising days organised at Highclare Woodfield, including fitness weeks, charity auctions, sponsored events and competitions. Look out for our news items on our news pages.
