Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
The children at Highclare School, St Paul’s had a fantastic ‘Chocolate’ introduction to their Easter celebrations with their very successful production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Many chocolate related jokes and puns were written into the performance and children from the whole Junior Department from Yr 3 to Yr 6 were all involved.
Back stage crew were responsible for an ingenius Glass Elevator whilst parents had dug deep to help with the many costumes for Oompa-Loompas, Squirrels, Toy Soldiers, and many more.
Parents and visitors were delighted by the 3 separate performances given over 2 days , and although rehearsals and scenery and costume preparation had taken since well before Christmas it was all well worth the effort in what was a fantastic (fondant) of a performance.
Many original performances were given by all the children.
