Science Day and Challenge

science challenge

March 2010
St Paul’s hall was buzzing as teams of intrepid scientists gathered to meet the Challenge of ‘The Great Egg Drop!’
Using only limited equipment families created a container to hold an egg safely. The container was then dropped
from a height of 2 metres. The results for the most part were scrambled eggs! Those eggs that survived the drop
were taken home for breakfast. A big thank you to Mr Martin Beck our independent expert adjudicator.
We were visited by a mad scientist! She was called Sarah. The best thing she did was using chemicals to create a
volcano! The volcano even erupted orange lava and fell onto the floor. Everybody laughed. Luqmaan Rashid—J3P
