During their weekly reflective Assembly at Woodfield, Year 1 & Year 2 pupils discussed the current earthquake in Haiti and the impact it was having on the children and their families.
After looking at photographs of Kiki, the young survivor who was pulled from the rubble after eight days, they decided that as Woodfield is a caring school, we should extend our caring hands across the world.
Consequently, it was decided to hold a fundraising event that could be enjoyed by all our children from eighteen months to 7 years.
On Friday 25th January everyone rose to the challenge! Woodfield was awash with colourful, cosy and crazy hats!
Staff and parents joined with the children to raise the magnificent amount of £805!
Pupils from Woodfield School Council went along to their local Oxfam Shop to deliver their cheque personally. Oxfam Headquarters in
Cowley, Oxford were delighted to hear of our efforts and congratulated everyone at Woodfield.
