Extra Curricular

Extra Curricular activities in the Junior Departments take place throughout the school week.

Opportunities to participate in a wide range of Junior ensembles, choirs, orchestras and wind band.
Concerts in and out of school are a regular feature of the Junior Department school year.
Individual tuition is available for most instru≠ments and together with individual singing lessons
All Junior pupils learn the recorder up to Year 6.
Help with Associated Board Examinations.
Staging of Drama productions within the Junior Departments takes place regularly
Pupils take a wide range of LAMDA examinations.
Drama activities build confidence and encourage spontaneity of expression.
Communication skills are fostered, helping students to express themselves clearly, naturally and confidently.

The school takes part in local Sutton Schools competitions and also Independent Schools competitions.
House teams in many sports gives further opportunities.
Over 30 teams including hockey, netball, tennis, rounders, athletics, cross country, football, cricket, swimming and gymnastics.
Many club activities e.g. trampolining and badminton, judo, golf
J6 pupils take part in PGL residential trips.

Junior pupils take part in activities to raise money for local and national charities.
Junior Girls have an ongoing commitment to raise money for sponsorship of a girl in Africa
Junior Boys and Girls take part in the Rotary Club Community Award Scheme
