Welcome to Highclare School
Highclare School is an Independent Day School. It is based on 3 separate sites within Sutton Coldfield and Erdington, situated in the heart of the West Midlands and within easy travelling distance of Birmingham City Centre and surrounding business centres.
Highclare’s ethos is to Achieve Individual Excellence for
each pupil and to inspire all pupils to aim for the best

The traditional values that have sustained the school since
1932 are still relevant today and there is a strong emphasis on
discipline, independent learning, respect for others and
motivation to succeed. Throughout the school, alongside a
strong academic curriculum, there is plenty of opportunity for
pupils to experience life in the modern world, with extra
curricular activities, clubs, sports and music and drama.
Originally begun in 1932 as a highly respected Girls’
School, a change in strategy throughout the year groups means
we are now able to offer education to both boys and girls from
18 months to 18 years. A strong family atmosphere is maintained
with small classes and high pupil staff ratios from Nursery
through to Sixth Form.
Highclare receives regular inspections from the Independent
Schools Inspection Service and the
latest Inspection Report is available here. The ISI is part
of the Independent Schools Council. For further information
